Angelique’s practice involves creating detailed soft-sculptures from vintage, recycled, and new textiles – textiles being a medium to hold and be held. These sculptures emerge from biomorphic and botanical forms, they are imagined as caring hybrid creatures – soft cyborgs, cyborgs made non-human kin, offering queer, divergent gestures of care in future worlds.
They are cyborgs made strange/surreal/queer… illegitimate offspring of their technofathers.
